Most venues hand you a list of florists and wish you luck. At Oak Hill Gardens, your floral design is created in-house by Josh Samples, a Kentucky native, multi-media artist, and event producer whose creative path has taken him from Los Angeles and Chicago to floral design schools in Paris and Seoul, and most recently to a masterclass in Brooklyn with renowned floral artist and instructor Sue McLeary, and an intensive workshop in Providence, RI alongside celebrated artists Flowers By Semia, Gilberto Espinoza Freihoff, and large-scale experiential designer Hafsa Lewis.
Josh brought every bit of that world-class training home to London, Kentucky and it shows in every arrangement he creates.
At Oak Hill Gardens, floral design isn’t a vendor add-on. It’s an art form. Josh designs each wedding from scratch, drawing on two decades of experience and a global creative perspective to build something that feels completely singular to your day, your vision, and this space. From exotic blooms sourced from around the world to sculptural installations and immersive floral experiences, his work doesn’t just complement the venue, it becomes part of it.
